Audi's Quattro Laserlight Concept Car Is a Gorgeous power house

he car gets its "Laserlight" name from its laser
headlights. Laser headlights! Here's how they
work, from the release:
The powerful laser diodes are
significantly smaller than LED diodes;
they are only a few microns in diameter.
Illuminating the road for a distance of
nearly 500 meters (1,640 ft), the laser
high-beam light has approximately twice
the lighting range and three times the
luminosity of LED high beam lights. In
this future technology, Audi is once again
demonstrating its leadership role in
automotive lighting technology with a
system that will also be used on the race
track in the 2014 R18 e-tron quattro.

'm not going to sit here and pretend I know a lot
about cars, but you'd have to be a moron not to
see that this car concept is ridiculous. You
should have heard the audience at the
Cosmopolitan soil itself with flatulent groans
when this little piece of information was read:

Audi's Quattro Laserlight Concept Car Is a Gorgeous power house

Audi just showed the future it aspires to. Meet the
Quattro Laserlight. This thing is freaking insane.
I'm speechless.

Audi R8 V10 Spyder: Pure

With the cab-forward proportions of a 250 LM
and the detailing of some Pluto-bound
spacecruiser, it's no wonder the R8 Spyder still
one of the most desirable cars in the world, even
though its design is nearly four years old.
This one, a 5.2l V10 model, was shot by
Alexander van Boekholdt of Spyker Force
Photography. He's the same guy who shot the
true blue XKR-S back in April.
You can click through the gallery to see his
pictures and hear the car rev for a while. Great.
Now we're stuck dreaming of letting the top drop
dyne with the V10 wailing behind us.
See more of Alexander's shoot on his blog and
click "expand" in the lower right of each picture
to see them full-size.
